Afterword
This wasn’t here initially, but I thought I should write it because I’m really surprised by just how many readers are actually following through with the story (and have not come to my website to read).
If you’re among the lucky ones to read this when those that finished the story before you did not, then thank you very much!
First of all, I thank you for reading the story. I mean sure, it’s a ‘selfcest’ bullshittery, but the main lesson here I wanted to talk about is about ‘self love’. I don’t care what you think about romance, or how you think you need a spouse to complete you, in the end, YOU are the most important in YOUR life. That’s why it’s ‘selfcest’.
Anyways, this was written actually for Honeyfeed x MyAnimeList’s novel competition, but because they just had to not make clear the rules of what is and is not allowed, I pulled out. And here is the resulting story hehe.
In all frankness, I left enough open ends in the story that it gives me room to write volume 2 and beyond. But I have a few reasons why I’m holding off the decision for expansion.
I’m busy working on <Our>, my flagship title. It’s a story about depression, fate, and life; which alone is taking up a lot from me.
ALAWM is complete enough as a single volume.
I don’t have a good enough reason to continue this series.
In any case, much leaves to be desired. There’s a lot of potential to where I can take this, but I’ll just put the fullstop here.
